Laboratory instruments
Beside materials we propose to the tobacco industry a wide range of instruments for the quality control of the cigarettes and filter rods.
We work in strict collaboration with people having a very long experience in the studying and production of these apparels which are used since many years with success in the tobacco industries worldwide.

Online Instruments
For on line applications we have a very efficient instrument to measure, through the know-how of the pneumatic technology, the diameter or circumference of the filter / cigarette rod. The instrument can be supplied with different measuring heads according to the rod diameter the customer needs to test. Our instrument is complete with an electronic control for a stand-alone set up or to be interfaced with the machine PLC so to automatically control the deviation from the target.
Offline Instruments
For what concerns offline instruments we supply a wide range of instruments of measuring and control, apparels for smoke analysis, linear or rotary semi-automatic or fully automatic smoking machine. Furthermore, we can propose Test Station, desktop instruments for single measurement of physical parameters and many other generic laboratory instruments.
Test Station
Automatic station providing accurate measurements of the different parameters: weight, pressure drop, ventilation, diameter and hardness. For filters producers a new test station is now available able to determine the triacetine content in acetate tow.
Modular design, small dimensions ISO compatible, easy front and rear access, easy to use, Touch Screen LCD display, minimal maintenance cycles, PC interface, connection both in local network and remote, SQL compatible.
Thanks to its capacity to function both as single station or as part of a network of connected instruments, this station can be easily adapted to any structure and target.

Smoking Machine / Vaping machines
Wide range of smoking machine, for traditional cigarettes, and vaping machines, specific for e-cigarettes. It is possible to choose among several models of linear or rotary smoking machines, and of linear vaping machines, all complemented by checking devices for setting and monitoring smoking parameters as requested by ISO & Coresta regulations. The determination of the smoke components is according to the Hoffman list.
Linear smoking machines
New generation of linear smoking machines (fully automatic, semi-automatic or manual), also modular. Conceived with flexible software apt for cigars and cigarettes. They allow to analyze in the same time cigarettes having different brands, dimensions and lengths.
Different versions with one or more holders are available, each with its own control unit and fully independent running microprocessor. Determination of burn rate and glow rate. CO & CO2 analyzer. Side-stream application. R&D application. Display, included printer, self-explaining software, RS232 interface, USB and Ethernet.
Vaping machines
For the analysis of the parameters of e-cigarettes, according to Coresta regulations, several kinds of vaping machines, with one or more channels, is available. These can be integrated with an aerosol sensor that can stop puffing as soon as the tester stops vaping.
Modular smoking and vaping machines
Smoking and vaping machines are also available as desktop, modular instruments. To the instrument central unit, which features a touch-screen panel, it is so possible to link several modules, according to the required kind of analysis. An in-vitro module is also available, to determine the smoke impact on human cells.
Rotary smoking machines
A range of new generation machines fully automatic, semi-automatic or manual. They are apt to make nonstop tests on big quantities of cigarettes. This kind of apparels have the great advantage to need little maintenance and to need low cost consumables.
As routine tests as the determination of TAR, nicotine, CO&CO2, all the models can also make tests according to the ISO 15592-3 regulations. Ergonomic and compact design, Touch Screen Monitor, self-explaining software. RS232 Interface, USB and Ethernet.
Smoking machines for In-Vitro tests are available. Through the cultivation of cells in vitro, this machine allow to determine the smoke impact on human cells.
Desktop instrument
Instruments of new generation for the measuring of physical parameters. This range of instruments has the big advantage to use the same base unit and only the measuring unit changes from an instrument to the other. The end users have the advantage to have an identical operation system and a little stock of the spares and consumables.

Tabletop instruments for single measuring
