Cigarette paper and plug wrap

Many countries introduced new regulations to comply with the fire security and reduce any risk of fire caused by cigarettes. For this reason the demand of Low Ignition Paper is constantly increasing. This paper contains rings that extinguish fire when reached. Porosity in the ring is zero so that, to maintain an overall porosity equal to normal cigarettes, customers are forced to increase porosity. Usually a 50 CU is replaced by a 70 CU porosity.

For MYO market we can offer specific paper, suitable to the manufacture of the so-called cigarette tubes. Such papers have slightly different specifications than the normal cigarette papers, as they feature an higher stiffness and generally larger bobbin width (28 mm).

We supply a wide range of plug wrap papers, starting from 23 gsm up to 27-30 gsm. Both porous and non-porous papers are in our range.
Common porosities are 2400 CU – 6000 CU – 10000 CU up to 24000 CU. 
It is important to take note that the bigger the porosity, the shorter the length of the bobbin, in order to keep the external diameter of the bobbin unchanged.
